Even more absurd allegations. Children accused the Kellers of flying them to Mexico. In Mexico, the children were gangraped by soldiers.
Satanism. The children claimed that the Kellers would kill the children, either by burying them alive or shooting them. Using their Satanic powers, they would then resurrect the children from the dead.
Other bizarre allegations. The children also claimed that the Kellers would throw them into a swimming pool full of sharks. Additionally, Fran Keller would use Satan's arm as a paintbrush to paint Satanic images.
Testimony. One of the main components of the trial which resulted in the Kellers' conviction was the testimony of a minor child who claimed to be a victim of the Kellers. He gave graphic descriptions of the sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of the Kellers.
The doctor's exam. A doctor who examined the victims said that evidence of sexual assault was found. The doctor testified at trial.
Reversal. The doctor has since admitted to making false statements and has recanted the testimony. The witness who claimed to be abused now says that he has no memory of the abuse whatsoever.
The outcome. The Kellers have been freed and won $3.4 million in damages. However, the State of Texas has declined to exonerate them of the charges.
